The YMCA of Edwardsville offers a very active day camp at the Meyer Center for those who have finished Kindergarten and not yet started sixth grade. Besides time for individual interaction the day is full of arts & crafts, reading, sports, games, health & wellness, roller skating and gymnastics. Each Friday has a special event or field trip. Besides having lots of fun during the summer we hope to instill the YMCA core values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility. Camps are signed up for weekly. 

Campers may arrive anytime after 6:15am and must be picked up no later than 6:00pm.

The YMCA of Edwardsville is proud to offer Teen Adventures. This program is set up to promote personal growth, citizenship, and social responsibility with opportunities for training, group activities, and most of all fun for those who have just completed 6th, 7th or 8th grades. Complete informational packets are available at the service desk.

Teens in this program start each day in their private recreational area with a lounge, foosball, air hockey tables and large screen TV. They plan their own day with their friends choosing from activities such as tennis, skating, rock climbing, swimming, gymnastics and fitness time/sports just to mention a few. Opportunities are also given to travel outside the YMCA to perform service projects and to go on field trips every Thursday.

The YMCA’s commitment to your childcare needs extends beyond the days that they attend school. In addition to the many activities at the Kid’s Network sites, we also offer Activity Day Camp and Summer Camp.

This program operates at the YMCA’s Meyer Center on weekdays when the Edwardsville School District Schools are closed for holidays, institutes and weather emergencies. The hours of operation are 6:15 AM to 6:00 PM. These camps provide time for your child to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere with others their age from throughout the School District. Each child needs to bring 2 snacks and a lunch or they may purchase snacks and lunch at the YMCA. Don’t forget socks for roller skating.
