The YMCA’s commitment to your childcare needs extends beyond the days that they attend school. In addition to the many activities at the Kid’s Network sites, we also offer Activity Day Camp and Summer Camp.

There will be no care available on the following days. The Kid’s Network, a before and after school care program, was developed by the YMCA of Edwardsville in cooperation with the Edwardsville School District # 7 to provide support to parents who need childcare in excess of the normal school day. While the program’s primary focus is to help parents while they work or attend school, it is designed to compliment the child’s home and school experience. Activities are designed to aid the students to develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually in a safe environment. The staff will endeavor to help students develop skills, discover talents, form friendships and build a strong sense of self worth. The staff will also stress the need for social responsibility and the requirement to respect all people regardless of race, religion, creed, gender, national origin, disability or familiar status.

The Kid’s Network Program is licensed through the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services and is inspected to assure that we meet or exceed all state standards.

All participants in the program who are YMCA members will receive a10% discount for each additional child enrolled from the same family.

Procedure for enrolling in KID'S NETWORK:

**Registration will begin August 1st for each school year.

1. All paperwork and fees must be in by the Thursday before the first week the student will attend Kid's Network.

2. The application must be filled out completely, signed and returned.

3. The Discipline Policy must be signed and returned.

4. The Legal Responsibility must be signed and returned.

5. The Permission Slip to use non-licensed areas must be signed and returned.

6. The $25.00 non-refundable enrollment fee must be paid. (This fee is paid only once for each student and covers all of the years the student is in the program.)

7. The appropriate fee for the first week must be paid.

8. A copy of the student's medical form must also be accompany the application. New medicals are required for students enrolling in Kindergarten. If you do not have a copy of your child's medical form, please contact the office of your child's school to get a copy. State law requires that we have a medical on file before your child starts Kid's Network.

9. NEW STATE REQUIREMENT (starting Fall 2010): A copy of each child's birth certificate must accompany the application.
